The Urban Assault Stroller is more commonly known as a Phil & Teds Sport stroller.

stroller

The Good
  • It’s designed to be a jogger, but it is not a purpose built jogger, it’s just a stroller that can go fast. We use it for brisk strolling, rarely jogging, and don’t feel it’s in any way a jogger only. The big wheels are excellent for navigating potholes, curbs, snowbanks and puddles

  • The inline design lets you fit through urban doorways and between store shelves. It’s not significantly bigger than a standard single stroller but holds two kids, or one kid and abundant packages

  • At ~$500 it’s by no means cheap, but is substantially less than the Elite strollers (read: Bugaboo), it is much more versatile and it can grow with your family. Most of our friends have multiple strollers. The subway stroller. The everyday stroller. The jogger. This is the best shot you have at possessing one stroller, and you don’t have to pay a premium to get it

  • Comes from NZ, and who has anything negative to say about the Kiwis?

The Trade Offs
  • The steel tube construction gives it a solid feel. It maintains light handling, however the stroller is 9lbs heavier than a Maclaren Twin which you’d likely notice if you will frequently need to load it into a car

The Bad
  • Likely not ugly, it won’t win any beauty pageants
