Deep LongAVT, a unit of Hong Kong-listed Endurance RP Ltd., developed a web-based psychological test powered by a deep learning model.
What does this mean?
An online application called FuturSelf uses a fancy AI model of human psychology that estimates a user’s psychological age and creates a personalized mental health program based on their psychological profile.
The web service is based on the results of an academic research project by Deep LongAVT in partnership with Dr. Nancy Itcoff of Harvard Medical School.
Them The research, published in the biomedical peer-reviewed journal Aging US, has created two digital models of human psychology. The first model is a combination of deep neural networks that can predict both a person’s chronological age and mental well-being in 10 years. The second model is a self-organizing map that can serve as the basis of a recommendation engine for mental health applications.
The anonymous data collected from FuturSelf will be used to further develop the platform.
According to a press release, the proponents of the study, which is based on online psychic tests, are working on a follow-up study on the effect of happiness on aging physiological measurements.
Why it matters
The impact of the global epidemic in the workplace has reduced productivity and increased employee absenteeism around the world, pushing employers to modernize their attitudes toward mental health.
However, “[e]Gesting mental health applications offer generic advice that applies to everyone but does not fit anyone, “claims Alex Javorankov, chief longevity officer at Deep LongVet.
Zhavoronkov stressed that FuturSelf “provides scientifically good and superior personality compared to other online self-help services”.
“Using Deep LongAVT’s digital approach to managing mental health, an invaluable feedback loop has been created that can help employees improve by increasing their motivation and productivity or allowing them to seek vital emotional support when needed,” the company said in a statement.
Deep LongAVT plans to offer FuturSelf as a B2B SaaS to insurance companies, corporations and other employers looking to keep track of the mental health and well-being of their employees.
Snapshots of the market
Launch of FuturSelf Psych Test App follows web-based development of Deep LongAVT The Covid Risk Calculator, an online tool that can provide an estimate of the survival of a hospitalized Covid-19 patient. The calculator is based on a deep learning model called BloodAge, which analyzes blood test reports to determine the extent of the aging process in Covid-19-positive patients.
In other news, Australia-based Cogstate launched its digital brain assessment tool earlier this year Kogmet of Taiwan and Hong Kong. Web and mobile platforms render performance indicators to the user’s brain, which is a measure of knowledge, such as memory and decision making.
